Ready or Not....

I can't believe that in 19 short months we have gone from this...

and this...

to this.

Thomas is my first child to learn to climb out of his crib and the playpen. My other children loved their beds and would patiently wait for me to hear them wake up and come get them. Two and a half is when we ususally took the side off the crib.
Thomas started climbing out one afternoon and after putting him repeatedly in his bed for an hour and a half I decided I had to accept that he isn't a baby and it was time to make his crib into a toddler bed. I was in mourning for a week or so but now it is kind of nice to have him come out of his room, come find us and give us hugs.

the things they say...

Thomas: Likes to lift up his shirt, push on his belly button and say, "Ding, Dong."

Evan: Why are we here?Mom: We are at the stake center to listen to a special broadcast. Evan: Is it from Jesus?

Mom: Dad says he can take you out on a daddy-daughter date on Saturday. Camille: Okay, as long as I don't have to pay.

Mom: What do want for breakfast? Evan: Your brains!!!

Mom: Evan, we need to make sure we put the scissors away when we are done, so Thomas doesn't find them. What if he cut himself, or cut you? Evan: I'd dodge him.
