First few weeks of school:

What's new:

-blisters from the monkey bars
-kids love their teachers, they all proclaimed they have the nicest teachers
-Evans thinks school is too long, but when he found out PE started that day he was ready to go because, "I'm awesome at PE"
-Camille started chorus
-Thomas asks everyday where Jarom is
-Thomas in swimming lessons
-Evan lost his first tooth
-help clean the church
-practicing piano before school- I love it!
-Evan said, "I already know everything my teacher says, and we don't even do math!" Camille added "It's the same when mom helps me with piano!" (I had no comment to this.)
-Trumpet sounds coming from Jarom's room.
-My health insurance rate being raised because of my birthday.
-Thomas jumped off the diving board backward and didn't clear it, he has scratches from his stomach to his chin and a tooth went through the inside of his lip.
-Fun date to see Angels and Demons then to Cheesecake Factory.
-Meetings to plan for Primary Program
-Mother/Daughter Activity Day Pajama Party with Camille
-Pack Meeting
-Evan got punched in the nose in school, it was retaliation for Evan teasing and taking a kid's paper. It bled for over half and hour and he had to come home early.
-Mom's perfect batch of Chicken Mango Salad
-Carpets cleaned- like a fresh start to the school year!
-Skinner Reunion: post to come

ball game at the ranch

After the reunion Ben went home to work and we spent another couple of days in cooler weather. It was great to really get to relax, read and play with the kids. We usually just get started on a vacation then have to come home. So the few days we stayed was perfect. We missed Ben too much to be gone any longer than that though.
Play Ball!!

Rogers Reunion

In July we went to our annual Rogers Reunion in Forest Lakes. I love Forest Lakes and the feel of being on the Rim. There was a small crowd this year but we enjoyed visiting with everyone there. We enjoyed the usual traditions of a yummy breakfast, playing the water game, do you love your neighbor, water balloons and volleyball. Of course Settler's, Peanuts, Rook and family songs/skits. Grandpa also read a poem he had written.

Chocolate Pudding- Yum!

It must taste better with your fingers!

4th of July at the Ranch

We spent the 4th of July at the ranch this summer. We might as well have called it a family reunion because almost everyone was there. Ben took Evan golfing with Steve and Beau Friday morning and Evan came home with a huge bruise on his ear. Maybe now he will listen when his dad tells him to stand way back from the person with the club!

We loved the weather, the afternoon showers, exploring, visiting Heath and Cedar, and relaxing.

And of course playing games- our favorites this trip were: Sequence, Life-electronic version, Nertz, Cities and Knights of Cataan, War, Uno, Bananagrams, Quiddler and Ticket to Ride.

Exploring!

I did not get any pictures of our fireworks activities, but we drove into Heber and met some friends in the perfect spot. (or should I say invaded some friends!!) The fireworks were right above us and it was awesome! Thomas has been obsessed with fireworks ever since- he mentioned them at least once a day until our ward luau last weekend, and now he is obsessed with firedancing! We will definately go back next year for the festivites!
