We are split into two school districts this year. Jarom and Camille started with GPS on the 8th. Jarom into 5th grade and Camille in 2nd. They are very excited about the teachers they have. Jarom came home saying he has the nicest teacher (they obviously went over rewards with the kids!). Jarom is starting the trumpet this year-following in his father's footsteps and is very excited. Camille has a teacher Jarom had two years ago and she was pleased to tell Jarom that she saw her teacher's tatoo of Dr. Seuss on her ankle, like he told her. On the second day of school they rode their bikes. Camille came home very hot and tired from school- she had been really looking forward to ridomg her bike to school. I was afraid that she wouldn't want to ride her bike again, but she surprised me and has been riding everyday.
Evan is going to MPS and started on the 11th. Evan and I played together last week but he soon got tired of me. Most of his closest friends/cousin started all day kindergarten, and Mikey was out of town most of the week. He got pretty frustrated with just me for entertainment. Going to see his teacher was so fun. Camille had the same teacher 3 years ago for Early Kindergarten so it was so fun to see her again. She is such a sweet lady and just what you would think a kindergarten teacher should be. She talked to all the kids telling them to obey their parents, eat a good lunch before they come and go to bed early before the first day of school. She talked about her class and some of her rules. Afterward we walked out of there and Evan was so excited, I asked him what he liked about his teacher and he said, "we can't get into trouble- that means so spanks, timeouts, or konks on the head!" With all the cute things his teacher said, that is what he heard! Ha!

Well O happy day for everyone! Kids are hopefully no longer bored, and mom, you get some peace and quiet. So, at school there is no "konks on the head"? That was cute.... kids say the cutest things. Now that school's back in, it's time to do lunch soon!!
amy i just took a few classes at mcc... they are quite time consuming and expensive because it was a 35 mm film class. but i also got a book from the scrapbook store. it was by allison tyler jones. it was phenomenal. it even has exercises and projects to do. you would love it!
